#GivingTuesday is a global day when the world comes together to give.
Innokas Medical takes part in the global event, #GivingTuesday, which is officially organized for the first time in Finland this year. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, which was started in 2012 in USA as a response to commercialization and consumerism (Black Friday and Cyber Monday) in the post-Thanksgiving -season. Finnish Fundraising Association VaLa brings this international #GivingTuesday movement to Finland for the first time this year - integrated to our culture as #TekojenTiistai. It is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year on 27th November.
Innokas Medical joins the movement by the Christmas charity campaign the company has organized with its personnel in favor of Ronald McDonald House Charities. In the campaign, Innokas is offering to its personnel an opportunity by donation and Christmas greetings to support the children and their families who spend their Christmas in hospital.
Innokas encourages the personnel to donate by promising the company will double the total amount of euros that Innokas personnel will collect. The donation campaign was launched at Innokas on November 1st, and it will be closed on 10th December.
In addition to the donation, on #GivingTuesday November 27th, Innokas is using some working hours with its personnel to this campaign by organizing Christmas Greetings crafting workshops to delight and cheer the children and their families who spend their Christmas in the hospital or in the Ronald McDonald House in Helsinki, Finland. These Christmas Greetings will be handed over together with the total amount of the donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities at the House in the middle of December.
As a global movement, #GivingTuesday unites countries around the world by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another. Now when we’re having this movement in Finland as well, Innokas Medical encourages all to join to Finland's first #GivingTuesday!
