Orion Diagnostica and Innokas Medical opened a service center in Shanghai, China. The opening ceremony of the new service center was held on October 27, 2014, at the FinChi Center.

The service center is a joint effort of Orion Diagnostica and Innokas Medical, the manufacturer of Orion Diagnostica’s QuikRead go® instruments. The companies’ cooperation has been seamless and effective; planning started at the beginning of this year. Jaakko Rissanen, President of Orion Diagnostica, sees that Orion Diagnostica’s position in the Chinese market will be strengthened now that the service center has been opened.

Service Engineer Heng Li is the first employee of Orion Diagnostica’s service center. He looks forward to the new work and appreciates the excellent training he has received. His work began at the end of August with training at Innokas Medical’s factory in Kempele in the northern part of Finland, and will continue further at the new service center in Shanghai.

Innokas Medical’s CEO Hannu Jyrkkä feels the new service center will also support Innokas Medical’s strategy to offer comprehensive service solutions from idea phase to production of high-quality final products, including repair and maintenance services. The service center enables Orion Diagnostica and Innokas Medical to offer maintenance services close to their customers and end-users.
